Porter Close
Residential, 2021This site in Tuncurry has a reserve to the rear which helped informed the planning of the dwelling. The main communal spaces are situated on the ground floor to ensure a strong connection between the internal and external communal areas. The master bedroom, private balcony and ensuite overlook the reserve on the first floor. The ground floor has utilised recycled brick construction which ties the dwelling into the existing streetscape. The first floor has taken on a more modern form which we believes adds some intrigue to the street.
Lucas Avenue
Residential, 2022The Green Point house has utilised the sloping site to elevate the internal and external communal areas. These spaces, along with the master suite at the very rear of the dwelling, all capture the views towards the lake and mountains. The layout of the house wraps around the pool with all areas of the dwelling taking advantage of the access to natural light and cooling breeze.
Elluisa Close
Residential, 2023This project is located in close proximity to the beach which influenced the clients towards a more coastal aesthetic. This project included quite a large brief for a relatively small site. After looking at how best to approach the massing for the design, the first floor was set back further from the east to allow more natural light to the rear pool area. The materials of brick, battens and FC cladding, all in a lighter palette, achieves the coastal aesthetic while the form of the dwelling offers something different to the existing streetscape.
Limestone Crescent
Residential, 2022This site had several environmental constraints which determined the location and layout of the building. The single storey dwelling wraps around an external communal space with pool. The form of the roof and inclusion of batten privacy screens offer something a little different to the sub-division which is currently mostly populated with spec housing.
Old Soldiers Road
Residential, 2022The clients for this project came to us with a firm idea of what they were after. A pavilion style design to compliment their indoor/outdoor style of living. The dwelling incorporates outdoor bathrooms and living spaces as well as screening for both environmental exposure and privacy. A fun design that sits on a lovely elevated site in Diamond Beach with views in all directions.
SDA Village
Multi-Dwelling Residential, 2023The site for the multi-dwelling housing is situated between a residential and commercial area of Forster. This helped influence the building locations and forms. The brief for the site was to incorporate a mix of dwelling types to accommodate for residents that require various levels of care. The end result was 4 separate north-facing buildings with site circulation and a communal pavillion located in the centre of the stie. The dwellings increase in height towards the commercial area while offering the residents plenty of garden/outdoor communal areas.
